August 27 at ContainR: Delirium with Get It Funk

Ladies and Gentlemen, on August 27 we will be performing at ContainR at the Music and Market Square series. This is Outdoor Urban Friendly Music, ideally suited to Delirium. Get It Funk will be joining us. Show is 6PM or so to 8:30 PM.

John from Delirium is helping to organize the series. Many Thursdays this summer feature different music genres, and people are coming out with their family, their kids, their parents, their sweetie, their dog, and/or their dancing shoes. On August 27 come out and catch Brass and Funk.

Bring cash, it’s pay-what-you-can. (Put small bills in one easily accessible pocket, and throw a few extra $20s or $50s in a secret pocket in case you have the best time of your life. If you’re having a hard time making rent this month, just bring your smile.)

We have some new tunes that you will love!

Two good videos - and long weekend

Everyone, we’ll probably hit the streets (park, playground, whatever) on the May Long Weekend. Maybe Monday, maybe some other day.

In the mean time, John is in Atlanta shooting video of street bands:

Brother's Of Brass seen in Atlanta by John. Instagram: @brothersofbrass. Marco better video something this cool in New York this week.

Marco is off to New York, catching jazz stuff.

And someone posted a really cool of Nat McIntosh, the original Tuba Player of the Youngblood Brass Band, playing "Brooklyn" with a huge ensemble:

This Thursday Koi Open Mic

Every Thursday Deanne Matley hosts a lovely "Jazz and More" open mic at Cafe Koi. It’s a friendly classy affair with some great opportunities to catch some established and up-and-coming Calgary musicians. This Thursday, February 26, if things go well Calgary’s finest street party brass band Delirium SPB would like to bring the "more" to "jazz and more" and introduce you to our new drummer Ron and a new song. Hope to see you. Open mic is 8:00 to 11:00, we’ll play after 9:30.
